FAQ

Industrial security vs. property protection — what's different?
Industrial security operates on factory sites with hundreds of employees, shift work, in-house fire brigades and production-specific risks (hazardous goods, downtime, sabotage). Property protection focuses on single buildings. Industrial security therefore requires more personnel, shift synchronisation with operations and supplementary qualifications like certified industrial security and works fire brigade support. Sekuris staffs industrial security teams of 5–80.
What shift models do you offer for industrial security?
The standard is a three-shift model (6-14, 14-22, 22-6) with synchronous handover. For continuous operations we run continental shifts compliant with EU working-time rules. Peak periods (inventory, planned shutdowns, audits) are covered with additional shifts. Staffing and break management are logged live in our app; clients see attendance status in real time.
What qualifications do industrial security staff hold?
The baseline is §34a, supplemented by certified industrial security qualification (IHK) and, depending on the site, hazardous-goods awareness, advanced first aid and ATEX training for explosion-protected areas. We train staff internally so the deployed team remains the same throughout the contract — critical for site-specific knowledge and trust with permanent staff.
What drives industrial security cost?
Site size (number of gates, square metres), shift density (1, 2 or 3 shifts), number of simultaneously deployed staff, specialised qualifications (certified industrial security, works fire brigade support), regional wage tariffs and contract volume. Contracts over 24 months with predictable staffing run 15–25% below ad-hoc engagements. Concrete quotes follow a free, no-obligation site walk-through.
Can you take over an existing industrial security team?
Yes. On service-provider changes we take over existing personnel under §613a BGB if employees agree — preserving site-specific knowledge and avoiding training overhead. We assess qualifications, close gaps via in-house training and integrate the team into our shift and documentation systems. Transition projects typically take 4–8 weeks.
