Mobile or stationary guarding — which makes sense?
Stationary guarding is worthwhile for high-value materials (copper, machinery, lithium batteries), critical phases (handover) and areas with documented theft history. Mobile patrols with irregular visits suffice for lower risk and tighter budgets. In practice we combine both: stationary 19:00–07:00, mobile day patrols at weekends. We design the concept after a site visit.
How quickly can you start construction site security?
Given regional capacity we deploy within 24–72 hours — typical after theft incidents or before a new construction phase. Large sites requiring four-plus officers plan for 5–10 working days lead time. Inquiries are answered within an hour during business hours, outside via the emergency number in our mail signature.
When is mobile video surveillance worthwhile?
Mobile video towers with motion detection and AI person identification are ideal for sprawling sites a single guard cannot fully cover. They cut personnel cost by 30–50% while preserving full documentation. Recordings are GDPR-compliant and stored for 72 hours; on alerts we notify the patrol team for immediate on-site verification.
What does construction site security cost per night?
Stationary night guarding (19:00–07:00, one officer) typically runs €350–€550 per night — depending on location, trade risk and contract duration. Mobile patrols with two visits per night start around €80. Mobile video surveillance adds roughly €800–€1,500 monthly. Weekend and holiday shifts have tariff-based premiums.
Are there premiums for weekends and holidays?
Yes, under German labour law and collective agreements: Sunday +50%, public holidays +100%, night work +25% on the base hourly rate. These premiums are itemised transparently in offers, never hidden inside the base rate. For long-term contracts with predictable weekend coverage we offer averaged rates over the contract term.
Who is liable for theft despite guarding?
Sekuris carries general liability insurance with €5m for personal/property damage and €1m for financial damage. For demonstrable breaches (sleeping on shift, missed patrols) we settle through insurance. For force majeure or organised crime that no concept can prevent, your construction insurance applies. We document insurance interfaces in writing before assignment start.
